But too often managers equate low face time with low work ethic or output. To avoid this unconscious bias and the damage it can do to your leadership legacy, try the following tips:. Focus on what your remote has accomplished, not on whether you can see them accomplishing it.
Build trust with your remotes during your one-on-ones. Take the first five minutes to get to know them personally, inquire about non-work issues, and ask them for feedback on how you can communicate better.
Make your check-ins more interactive. Give remote workers the trust and attention they deserve. Doing so can make them your highest performers. Step 2: Tie your shoes. Whether delivering mission critical strategy or checking the pulse of your team, a sound remote strategy has never been more important. Register for ALL of our Webinars!

Managers & Directors
Covey's Covey Leadership Center. Among other products, the company markets the FranklinCovey planning system, modeled in part on the writings of Benjamin Franklinand The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Peoplebased on Covey's research. FranklinCovey also has sales channels in more than countries worldwide.
Hyrum Smiththen the CEO of Franklin Quest, expected that the acquisition would increase market value through the synergistic combination of Covey's 7 Habits book with the Franklin Planner and with its associated training-courses. Franklin Covey selectively closed their stores to the point that they now only have a single retail location in Utah. The company markets a variety of book and audio products based on Covey's 7 Habits material, as well as numerous titles by other FranklinCovey consultants.
The company also offers two main training courses: one based on The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People ; and another based on the original FranklinQuest time management program, now titled Focus. Additionally, FranklinCovey launched a line of new training and consulting products focusing on leadership and organizational alignment. Software implementation of the company's planning system was named " PlanPlus for Windows ", and an online version is offered under the brand PlanPlus Online.

Official website. When our computers start slowing down or behaving in an unusual way, we are often quick to suspect that we have a virus. It might not be a virus, but it is likely that you have some sort of malware.
Some are malicious, and others are just annoying. The worst culprits are the hijackersmalware programs that take over your browser, or worse yet, your computer. Here are 10 tips on how to prevent malware from infecting your computer, keeping your hardware safe. This tip may go without saying, and I almost just casually mentioned it in my opening paragraph. This protection is a must-have first step in keeping you computer virus free.
This too may seem like a no-brainer, but many of us forget to do this. Set up your software of choice to run at regular intervals. Once a week is preferred, but do not wait much longer between scans. However, we often turn off our computers at night, and so the scan never runs. Set your anti-virus software to run on a specific night, and always leave your computer running on that day. Whether you are running Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, or any other OS, keep it up to date.
OS developers are always issuing security patches that fix and plug security leaks. These patches will help to keep your system secure. Similarly, keep your anti-virus software up to date. Viruses and malware are created all the time. Your scanning software is only as good as its database.
It too must be as up to date as possible. Many of our computers connect to our files, printers, or the Internet via a Wi-Fi connection. Make sure it requires a password to access it and that the password is strong. Never broadcast an open Wi-Fi connection. Use WPA or WPA2 encryption.
WEP is no longer strong enough as it can be bypassed in minutes by experts. You can still access it with your device, you will just have to manually type in the SSID and the password.
If you frequently have guests who use your Internet, provide a guest SSID that uses a different password, just in case your friends are evil hackers.
Avoid websites that provide pirated material. Do not open an email attachment from somebody or a company that you do not know. Do not click on a link in an unsolicited email. Always hover over a link (especially one with a URL shortener) before you click to see where the link is really taking you.
If you have to download a file from the Internet, an email, an FTP site, a file-sharing service, etc. A good anti-virus software will do that automatically, but make sure it is being done. This is likely the most difficult thing to do on the Internet.
Many hackers will access your files not by brute force, but through social engineering. They will get enough of your information to gain access to your online accounts and will glean more of your personal data. They will continue from account to account until they have enough of your info that they can access your banking data or just steal your identity altogether.A common first step of many data analyses that involve more than a very few variables is to run a correlation matrix of all variables and then examine it for expected (and unexpected) significant relations.
For example, by definition, a coefficient significant at the.
There is no "automatic" way to weed out the "true" correlations. This issue is general and it pertains to all analyses that involve "multiple comparisons and statistical significance. Pairwise Deletion of Missing Data. Only this way will you get a "true" correlation matrix, where all correlations are obtained from the same set of observations.
However, if missing data are randomly distributed across cases, you could easily end up with no "valid" cases in the data set, because each of them will have at least one missing data in some variable.
The most common solution used in such instances is to use so-called pairwise deletion of missing data in correlation matrices, where a correlation between each pair of variables is calculated from all cases that have valid data on those two variables. However, it may sometimes lead to serious problems. For example, a systematic bias may result from a "hidden" systematic distribution of missing data, causing different correlation coefficients in the same correlation matrix to be based on different subsets of subjects.
In addition to the possibly biased conclusions that you could derive from such "pairwise calculated" correlation matrices, real problems may occur when you subject such matrices to another analysis (e. Thus, if you are using the pairwise method of deleting the missing data, be sure to examine the distribution of missing data across the cells of the matrix for possible systematic "patterns.
If the pairwise deletion of missing data does not introduce any systematic bias to the correlation matrix, then all those pairwise descriptive statistics for one variable should be very similar. However, if they differ, then there are good reasons to suspect a bias. For example, if the mean (or standard deviation) of the values of variable A that were taken into account in calculating its correlation with variable B is much lower than the mean (or standard deviation) of those values of variable A that were used in calculating its correlation with variable C, then we would have good reason to suspect that those two correlations (A-B and A-C) are based on different subsets of data, and thus, that there is a bias in the correlation matrix caused by a non-random distribution of missing data.
Pairwise Deletion of Missing Data vs. Another common method to avoid loosing data due to casewise deletion is the so-called mean substitution of missing data (replacing all missing data in a variable by the mean of that variable). Mean substitution offers some advantages and some disadvantages as compared to pairwise deletion. Its main advantage is that it produces "internally consistent" sets of results ("true" correlation matrices).
The main disadvantages are:Spurious Correlations. There is a third variable (the initial size of the fire) that influences both the amount of losses and the number of firemen.
If you "control" for this variable (e. The main problem with spurious correlations is that we typically do not know what the "hidden" agent is. However, in cases when we know where to look, we can use partial correlations that control for (partial out) the influence of specified variables. Are correlation coefficients "additive.
For example, an average of correlation coefficients in a number of samples does not represent an "average correlation" in all those samples. In cases when you need to average correlations, they first have to be converted into additive measures.
For example, before averaging, you can square them to obtain coefficients of determination, which are additive (as explained before in this section), or convert them into so-called Fisher z values, which are also additive.
How to Determine Whether Two Correlation Coefficients are Significant. The shared links from Fan pages are treated similarly to Twitter links. No links from personal walls are used. They are treated similarly to Twitter Profiles. Note: Normally if this is true, they measure only public profiles like Fan pages.
Does the Twitter Authority have an impact on the weight of the links that are shared. The weight depends on the authority of the person. The Author Authority is used in limited situations and it is independent of PageRank. Does the Facebook Authority have an impact on the weight of the links that are shared. Treat your acne with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Seek a dermatologist's advice. This is the number one rule. Pimples contain nasty bacteria. If you pop your pimples, that bacteria has a chance of getting inside other pores and giving them a place to stay without charging rent, so to speak. Make sure your pimples pay rent. Foundation and lipstick can be harmful to the skin. Although it may be a bit embarrassing going fresh faced if you have bad skin, going "bare" will definitely help your skin clear up.
Inflammation will cause even more redness and pain. Your hands (no matter how many times you wash them) have oils and dirt on them, and are vectors for bacteria. If you're constantly wiping that dirt, oil, and bacteria back onto your face, chances are it's not going to respond too well and you will also end up spreading even more the bacteria to other areas of your face.
Many doctors recommend that you drink between 9 and 12 cups of water per day (2. Although the evidence has been disputed for decades, new reports seem to indicate that diets do have a substantial effect on acne, listing sugar as a trigger.
Milk, too, has recently been implicated as an acne-producing agent. Milk stimulates male sex hormones testosterone and androgens that, along with insulin, cause nasty pimples.
